On the network that I have is about 15 computers and I need to install Win7 and certain programs on them. I'm interested in how to create a DVD or image or ghost or clone or whatever ... with would contain the Win7 and all these programs, and to save time, not to install each program separately for each computer. The computers are IBM / Lenovo desktop machines, mostly different, so I wonder if this is possible, would there have been problems with drivers ...

    Thanks in advance!

Installing a clone on different makes of PC would present driver problems also i would suspect you would be infringing copyright legislation unless you have a corporate license.

First off, you are going to need some imaging software like Acronis or Zenworks. Second, you are going to need a volume license for Windows 7 to build your base image off of for the very reason the poster above me pointed out. You CANNOT, according to Microsoft, reimage computers with an OEM license without having a MAK (Multiple Access Key).

Hope this explains everything, but if you cover those bases, then yes, you can image those machines. Imaging software is very handy, however, if you do not have a lot of computers, it's too expensive to justify.

I will have a volume license for Windows 7, my company will buy it...
So, in your opinion, I can do this easily...only copyright was the problem? :)

If you got a volume license, then the OS cloning is solved. Just make sure you have licenses for all the other software and you are good. Start cloning!

Well, if they are different, ex: Different models, then you are going to have different hardware, etc to deal with. That's not a show stopper but there are some considerations.

First, are you going to image different desktops, but they are all the same manufacturer so that's good.

Find the oldest machine of the lot and use it to build your base image off of. A base image is that machine you are going to install the OS and all the programs to. You want to use the oldest one, because you know that the newer ones have the latest drivers and shouldn't have a problem by and large on startup after imaging.

The next thing is, once you have built the image, you will want to run sysprep. It is in Windows 7 under the C:\Windows directory. You'll want to set the option to OOBE generalize. Sysprep unloads all the drivers and makes the machine ready for cloning.

As for cloning, again, Acronis is good software, Norton Ghost, or Zenworks.

A link that would be a good start is http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766514(WS.10).aspx
