    Hello,

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and I'm fed up with 64bit. Is it possible to use the same disc I bought to install the 32bit edition? And how?

    Thanks in advance, everyone.

You just need to purchase a key. Your key for the 64 bit installation will not work to install the 32 bit version.

My Win 7 Ultimate (UK) came with both 32 and 64 bit disks but only a single product key that could be used with either. I have 64 bit installed and haven't tried to install 32 bit, so have no idea whether it would install and activate or not.

    Maybe this varies by country.

If you have a factory PC, you would need to get a 32 bit disc from that manufacturer. If it's a home built OEM, you just need to find a 32 bit OEM disc. Retail should have had both already.

Why are you fed up with 64 bit Win7? Maybe you could get help and not need to reinstall.

By "simply finding a 32bit OEM disc", do you mean buying one? Or letting the PC shop I used to build my custom rig lend me one?

Well I'm tired of 64bit because EVERYTHING has been lagging since the day I bought this PC. Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Opera, Chrome, Safari, even Windows, they all lag. The only reason I got 64bit for in the first place was for PC gaming but since it's dying I feel ripped off

See my rig and judge for yourself.

My sister's WinXP 32bit running on a Pentium 4 loads websites faster than my PC... I don't think there are virus or whatever in my PC either. I run a weekly scan of Security Essentials, MBAM, SUPERantispyware, Spybot. Always up to date with Windows' security updates, too

    Either would work.
What about drivers for your hardware like the motherboard? Are they up to date? It wouldn't hurt to check at the manufacturer's website.
