Happy Thanksgiving

That's right, it's Thanksgiving time in America. Behold our glory!

Actually I've been off work since the 19th for the holiday and I'm loving it. This is the first time in a few days that I've even touched a computer. Taking a break from computers and people's computer problems has been awesome. Sleeping until 8 am has been totally cool, and to top it all off, I've had some sex.

 

Glad to hear that you have your personal life in order, and a "Happy Thanksgiving" to you! :-D

 

Have a very happy Turkey Day, people. Eat until your stuffed.:yum:drool

I'm very grateful to witness the kindness of the folks here! The helpful & gentle way you all assist people is a moving experience. And I also get a lot of chuckles here. (still waiting for a real lol). I appreciate the time so many here dedicate to others! Thank you.

Can you imagine trying to stuff a 140lb Kangaroo LOL

 

LOL Not too difficult when stuffing the pouch only? Perhaps having to stuff it's pouch and it's cavity may be a different story. :-D

 

For those outside the US, Thanksgiving day was originally intended as a national day for our citizens to give thanks to the "Divine Creator" for all the blessing bestowed on our people. The same Divine Creator that protected our country during our break from the King and referred to in our Declaration of Independence as "divine Providence" in the last line.

Friday is the high water mark of crass commercialism and I am going to participate very slightly this year.

The original Pilgrim Colonists in Massachusetts came here for religious freedom. Thanksgiving was a day set aside in the colony with a feast to offer thanks back to God.

It generally is a time with family and fun. The Wednesday before is the largest Grocery shopping day of the year (always fun to see fistfights over the last turkey at 6 PM!) and Friday is the the largest Retail shopping day of the year (purists are already camped outside Bestbuy in tents!)

Puts my Safeway Frozen Pizza to shame. (Daughter went to his family so we improvised, and I hate Turkey anyway)
