ComboFix Question

    Quick question about ComboFix. I am repairing a friends computer-had a failed video card and one trojan that was caught and removed by Malware Bytes. I now want to clean up his computer. I have installed MS Security Essentials, CC Cleaner and Malware Bytes. The computer is now working perfectly. Should I run Combofix if the computer is not having any issues as preventative? Or is this not necessary. Thanks in advance.

    Ultimately, that choice is yours to make. However, if at any time you should wish to start a malware thread here, you will be required to run the complete READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide procedure and attach all of the requested logs.

    I guess I should have phrased my question differently. Should combofix be run as standard computer maintenance? For example once a month I will run CC Cleaner, Super Anti Spyware, and Malware Bytes. Should combo fix be included in this if your computer is not experiencing problems?

    No, as it needs to be run under supervision. Plus the program is updated periodically and should only be run as a fresh install.
