Eh, it's pretty much a really basic Castle Crashers. I tried it on my friend's EVO, and I was disappointed at the lack of options for birds and launchers.

No srsly it isnt that bad is it xD i only use my ipod games while traveling from home to my girlfriends and have shit all else to do on a bus packed with old folks and chavs.

I came home to find a Logitech MX518 sitting on the kitchen counter, still in sealed packaging. The Guy apparently decided that the mice we've been gaming on so far needed to be upgraded and bought us one each.

I will of course have to do a lot of extra gaming in the next week or so, to calibrate it properly.

 

I just installed and started playing the new Call Of Duty: Black Ops, and it #$&*%!@# KICKS %*&&^@#$!%* ALL OTHER &*^%$!@# VERSIONS OF CALL OF DUTY @#*^%$#! COMPLETELY!!!!

Yeah. It rocks. It's awesome. If you haven't played it, and you're a first-person-shooter fan, you're missing out. It's BY FAR the best of the CoD series, and probably the best military/war FPS game I've played... EVER. My first rounds have been with the "Normal" level of difficulty (I haven't tried the rookie or advanced modes - I just got the install finished about 30min ago), and it's far from "Normal". It's a lot of fun, but I've already died like 3 times before reaching the 3rd checkpoint. LOL Plus, it runs great at 1680x1050 on a single GTX260. I was worried that it would lag now that I (temporarily) don't have SLI (or a new GTX470/570), but it runs perfectly..... it's awesome. Get CoDBO and do it NOW!

(I have a cheezy ninja movie starring the immortal Sho Kosugi on TV in the background; makes for a very interesting combo with Call Of Duty!)

 

Ah well fair enough bout the iPod games then but yeah no lol you'll never ever sway me on WoW. Compared to the MMORPGs I play, WoW is Pre-School, I play EVE Online and in comparison ... well ... you've gotta play it to experience it.

 

Just got a copy of Metroid: Other M for Wii.

All I can say is "absolute garbage". And this is coming from a MAJOR fan, who has played every single incarnation with satisfaction.

After playing the first 10 minutes, I wanted to throw my Wii in the street, and powerbrake all over it.

I felt like I was shooting fish in a barrel, while relegated to a single WiiMote that was like an old 8-bit NES controller which did backflips, after a few doses of steroids.

I have never played a game that was such a pain in the ***, with a COMPLETE lack of fluidity when it comes to controls.

This one is going back from whence it came, in less than 24 hours.

Mostly WoW. Uh, yeah, sorry. But I play with my 16yo son, so it is kinda a bonding thing we do. I was playing the Auction House for my own fun to see how much I could make, but the addon I use broke recently. boo.

I was a bit stupid (part of what got me back here) for Christmas and bought my son and I both copies of Civ V to play so we could enjoy something other than WoW for a change. Unfortunately, my Toshiba and his Acer don't have enough Graphics card for the thing to run. So, we will have to wait on that until we can upgrade systems. another boo.

Hoping to get StarCraft II soon to make it up to him.

Did like the Worgen story line. While the Goblin story line is deep and interesting, it hasn't caught on with me yet.

Counter Strike 1.6 and Black Ops... Nothing beats Counter Strike.. legendary game play .. though i must say blackops own modernwarfare2

 

I just started playing Machinarium, and this game is just brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I love it!

 

Dragon Age II gets a demo! For PC! Out for download for the public on February 23rd.

I've been playing Need for speed shift for a few days now and I'm quite enjoying it.Not a great selection of cars ala Gran Turismo but unlike GT it has damage modelling,its very similar in most other respects.

I'm currently finishing off tier 2 of 6,I have a works skyline that's pretty fun to drive

I just started playing Lost Odyssey on my 360. It's brilliant. It's everything that the Final Fantasy games could and should have been, but have failed miserably at for the past few years. It actually has appealing characters I care about...!

Just started playing this, incredibly addicting. You think that Dead Space is scary? This game makes Dead Space look like a cabbage patch kid.

 

I played the demo of Amnesia right before it came out, and it was so far beyond what I can handle that I refuse to buy and play the game at all. It traumatized me.

It's genius.

 

hey guys, been away for a while... . I just started star wars force unleashed on PS3, and Dead space 2 on PC, I've got amnesia already, just no thad time to start it yet, and just after amnesia, I've got New vegas to look forward to.... So much to do... and only a month before DA 2.....:confused

 

Not sure if anyone's heard of it, but a fellow gamer I was talking with the other day,(wal-mart electronics) he told me about a great horror, amnesia style game he purchased off steam, it was called, Panundrum. I remember seeing the box it came in when it came out, for those amnesia fans, might be worth checking out. I'm gonna finish dead space 2 today, and start amnesia today.

 

Do you mean Penumbra? It's an earlier (but still very excellent) game made by the same company that made Amnesia. I would recommend Penumbra if you like Amnesia.

 

Been playing Empire Total war, but that kept randomly crashing and all the patches and tweaks in the world can't help this game, big shame because I love the game. So I moved onto Napoleon total war and thats more stable but it seems to have developed an issue with the save process, every once in a while it will CTD while saving, whether it's user, quick or auto, so thats a pain too, anyone who has played these games will know that 1 turn can take anywhere from 5 seconds to 2 hours depending and when you put 2 hours in and it CTD's it's a little annoying. So I've gone back to COD Black Ops, was playing on line last night, it seems that they have fixed most of the issues it had although I am a bit rusty and got my butt handed to me in most matches, but it's fun

Only a month to go and I get to try out Shogun 2 Total War, see how many times an hour that crashes lol
Although I did notcie my GPU it getting warm, I think it's needs cleaning, damn Hvac heating just pumps dust into the house.

I went for the lost and the damned as the first story to play and I'm half way through it as I've heard TBOGT is way better but I think TLATD is awesome so I can't wait to play the former.

Baxter Stockman.... that is truly a great name. I member when I was... prob round 5, we went to the lake, and I took my Baxter Stockman figurine. I was plaing in the dirt bank just above the water, when a boat came by, and the waves hit my entrenched figures and washed the away. I got all of the back, except the little imp looking thingy that sat on Baxter'ss shoulder.

Just re-installed about 10 games i had to delete before i got my massive 1 terrabyte upgrade

So ive been playing

Riftlanes of Telara Beta(actually did a hands on report for diehardgamefan.com as well as a media roundtable with the COO and exec producer of the game, thanks to my friend who owns that particular website!!)

Quake 4, after i finally got it to run. I cant believe that i still cant get it to run correctly on ultra, at least i get it to high settings and 1440X900 res.

WoW subscription just ended, have some game cards but i'm reluctant to use them since Rift still has the beta going down for another week.

Fallout 3, finally finished the main story, wish i hadn't. More fun to just keep playing that game, rather than actually finishing it.

 

Darn kids got me hooked --- HOOKED --- on Minecraft.

Yeah, that game is addictive as heck.

I play with my son and friends on a server he created.

 

I have failed to mention the PS games I am currently playing. Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock, --awesome. Ncaa football 11', and star wars The force unleashed 1! <-- not sure why this one got such bad reveiws, I think it is pretty good. I am however leary of the Second Force unleaseh, I heard it was only like 4-6 hrs. long. Nothing pisses me off more than playing a Great game, and having it end way... too early. Anyone played it yet?

 

I have Lego, and you are right, great game, ending WAYYYY to early, only a few hours of gameplay strange but cool storyline, love the new Lightsaber style, and there's alot of awesome challenges and enemies, but all in all, way to short for the money you pay.

 

Ive had a problem with short games ever since Half Life: Blue Shift. That was a good story but i remember saying when it came out, "Thats all?"

Since then i dont buy games off the shelf until they get reviewed, i usually just look to see how long the game was and if i trust the reviewer, then if they liked it, or what they liked/hated.

And if a game takes less than 6 to 10 hours to beat, i probably wont buy it til it hits the bargain bin. Im more of a "im happy if it takes 50 to 100 hours to beat, then can still play it" kind of guy. (fallout 3, oblivion, Dragon Age etc)

I also almost never buy DLC anymore unless its REALLY good. (DLC for DA was short and cost to much whereas DLC for Borderlands was pretty cheap and mostly excellent content. ....mostly.)

Agreed with the Blue Shift. Did you ever get into any of the HL mods? Man, I must have 200 of them, some of them quite good: Deliverance, the Heart of Evil series, POKE646, Sweet Half-Life, They Hunger 1,2 & 3, all good stuff. And, of course, Opposing Force and the OppFor mods.

 

Never got into the mod community, not sure why. I know for NwN(Neverwinter nights) the modders got crazy good but i just never thought to get into it with HL for whatever reason.

Opposing Force is actually my favorite out of the HL series. It was decently long and wasnt just half life with another skin. I almost liked it better than Half life itself.....almost lol

 

Yeah, OppFor pretty much laid the groundwork for the Counter-Strike and Team Fortress revolutions.

Most of the HL mods were buggy, but some were quite well put together. I also really got into the Thief mods - some great plots and story lines.
