Makes you envy the kids that jump right in.
My hand/eye co-ordination can't keep up with them nowadays.

Thats not too bad, does depend on your mobile providers 3G signal, do you get a good 3G or is it more on Edge?

If you can and it may work is try Speedtest.net on your phone, hopefully your phone supports flash, if so test it out, I was suprised on mine when I tested it reciently and got 1.97mb/s DL and 1.67mb/s UL on HSDPA, great when teathered to my netbook.

Yes YouTube is Flash based, but ones on phones the package sometimes allows the videos to play but the version of built in Flash doesnt allow websites to play Flash video, weirdly.

I remember my first post from my blackberry. I think I've done one since. It took me about 5 minutes to complete the whole thing and I think I typed about 4 words. LOL

Now I just read the forum on my phone sometimes.

Unsure whether to bump this thread or post in Gadgets.

    :confused

I upgraded to a Samsung Mesmerize (Called Fascinate at Verizon) and the curve has been interesting. The cost was great (Full rebate) and I justified the extra $30 for data as I will use it for my business. Only 2 nights ago I installed Fennec (Firefox Mobile developed by Maemo) and have Sync in place. This caused moving bookmarks around on the desktop to make the mobile bookmarks more accessible. Compared to my Maemo pad, it is still sad Nokia lost the market on the Mini-tablet. Maemo has easier to use thumb keyboard and was better at navigation. The camera is great, but no anti-shake stabilization and that causes blurry photos with zoom. The camera also requires 2 hands.

My carrier has limits for data (they all actually have limits but do not tell you about them unless you press. I have asked the other carriers about this), but I use Wifi heavily and also have watched that I am on wifi when downloading large files or apps.

There are mobile apps to access Forums, but MG is not using them. :cry

Oh does Fennec not open MGs as I have this app on Windows Mobile 6.5 and it works fine for MG?

Can you by any chance get Opera mobile as it is for me the best mobile browser going, beats Safari, IE by a mile.... sadly dont know your phone enough to give 100% info.

No Fennec works fine, albeit quirky zoom. No app like tapatalk is enabled on MG.

I will install opera and give it a whirl. :major

Tapatalk could probably be enabled pretty easy if enough people would use it. I would, seems pretty neat but as most forums i frequent dont use it i wasn't gonna pay for it. But from what i read tapatalk is just a plugin for vBulletin forums.

    Seperate from new Android phones.

Some online Forums have their own scripting for mobile.

I am still trying to get used to a 4 inch browser again compared to 22 inches....;)

I can relate. I've had my first cell phone for 18mths now, and I still think it is pretty cool I can call someone from the middle of a field somewhere. :-D

Not actually done that yet - but I can if I want to, by golly! :cool
