computer changes languages

I have a new asus 30 with Windows 7 intel CPU @1.3 ghz, 4 g ram
when I open 7 tabs it will freeze before changing tabs,,sometimes
I used FF

my computer keeps changing languages on me
so I'll type 3 letters in english and a bar will appear below filled with chinese letters and soon they will convert all my letters to chinese

it seems to have stopped now since Ｉ　ｃｕｔ　ａｎｄ　pasted　ｓｏｍｅ　ｓｔｔｕｆｆ　ａｎｄ　ｎｏｗ　ｉｔ　ｓｅｅｍｓ　ｔｏ　ｂｅ　ｏｆｆ

Ｉ　ｄｏｎｔ　ｕｎｄｅｒｓｔａｎｄ　ｈｏｗ　Ｉinvertently turn this on
I　ｃｈｅｃｋｅｄ　ｔｈｅ　Ｔａｓｋ　Ｍａｎａｇｅｒ　ａｎｄ　ｄｏｎｔ　ｓｅｅ　ａｎｙ　ｅｘｔｒａ　ｐｒｏｇｒａｍ　ｒｕｎｎｉｎｇ　ｗｈｅｎ　ｉｔｓ　ｏｎ．

Have you gone to the control panel and checked your Regional and Language settings?

no, would that make it change languages while I'm typing or turn on/off without?

Frankly, I don't know. I would just make sure that the settings are appropriate first. I have never encountered this situation.

I dont know why it changes, I just went to control panel and languages and took out chinese as a possibility

That should probably take care of the problem. If not, you could always learn Chinese . :-D
