Rise of Legends random shutdown

    hi everyone

    i want to play ROL but everytime that i play for ten minutes then my computer freeze the game and says that the program had a error and must be shutdown.
    i have no idea whatsoever it can be..
    it try this already;
    put the progam admistration right.
    windows 7, vista, xp sp3 and 2(no difference at all).
    visual theme's off.
    Desktop composition off.
    update everthing.
    i only wonder if i must not downgrade directX?
    can that be the problem?
    also funny to mention is that the older version of that game(Rise of Nation 1.0)
    worked sweet.
    nothing changed on that not even administration right.

    how could that the older game work good and newer work like :crap:confused
    can someone help me with this?

    i have a windows 7 64 bit
    p55 pro ASRock
    8 GB mem
    ati radeon HD 4800
    i think this was the most importend info

    DirectX could definitely have something to do with it. Win7 comes with Dx10 (and Dx11 if your video card can handle it), but your game was made for Dx9. 10 and 11 are supposed to be fully backwards compatible, but as with everything else computers, what should be happening and what actually happens aren't always the same. Try installing Dx9 from here and see if that makes a difference.

    Also make sure you have the latest graphics driver from ATI (driver here).

    Does the crash always happen at a certain spot, or when you do a specific thing? Would you be able to get the exact error message?

    thanks for the advice.
    i check both the directx and ati driver.
    i think that its was the ati driver.
    not sure if it totaly worked out because i haven't had time to play for a long time:cry
