Trying to move old messages on OE6 (including subfolders) over to Outlook2010 on a different machine that is using Windows7. Also, why should I care about using Windows Live Mail - won't Outlook10 do the trick? Please keep responses simple - I am NOT a wizard at this stuff! Thanks.

    Hi

    Try the steps HERE

I think some have found that exporting to Windows Live Mail first from OE then exporting from WLM to Outlook seems to work better, can uninstall WLM when finished.

    Or try the info HERE

Right, you won't have any need for Windows Live Mail if you have Outlook, except for maybe just using it one time as a tool in moving your OE messages over to Outlook. However, if you study the links DavidGP posted, I don't believe you'll need to use Windows Live Mail for the transfer, or importing, of OE messages over to Outlook.
