Windows Vista 32 firewall Issue

Hello all hope someone can help, I am helping a friend out with his Laptop, he got some sort of win32.exe virus which I have cleaned and repaired, the only thing I cannot get back up and running is his Firewall, I have tried many things and even resting it as such, ( hXXp://www.winxptutor.com/sp2/resetfw.htm ) I will attached an image any help would be greatly appreciated it is Windows Vista 32 bit

I strongly suggest you go through the Malware Forum's Read & Run Me First thread, perform all of the suggested steps, and attach the requested logs to a new thread in that forum, just to be safe.

You might check your Services List for any Windows Firewall dependencies that must be running: to see these, scroll down to Windows Vista Dependencies at Black Viper.
