Is there a top notch Freeware program here that can help me fix the ipworks6.dll message I keep getting? If there isn't, How do I reinstall it?

Handygal I've had CCleaner for sometime. I ran it but the ipworks6.dll still comes up. Any other suggestions?

I know that you asked for a repair program. I get that you dont' want to hunt it down and I know how that feels. Just a quick question though in case the fix is easy.

You said that you get this message when you log on to the internet. Does that mean when you open an IE browser? Is your ISP Verizon? A quick search gave me this --
"After about 4 months of seeing this message and ignoring it I discovered that it is aprt of the program listed as "Verizon Help & Support tool." Verizon is my ISP and thsi apparently was part of and update to thier system.

I uninstalled the entire program and have not had a problem for the past week "

Since you have tried firefox, this sounds plausible.

I'll have a look in the majorgeeks cool programs threads, has to be something in there. Most of the dll fixers on the 'net are mostly crap / adware. I tried a bunch of them a long time ago, all were BS and they all sound the same as that now.

Yes my FORMER browser was IE and now I use FF. but it still pops up on FF just not as often as it used to on IE. My ISP is Verizon. What program did you uninstall?

Do you have a program from them called Verizon Help and Support Tool?

Not sure. I do have the Verizon In-home Agent. It fixes the connection when I can't log on to the internet. Where would I look for this Help and support Tool?

Sorry, Verizon updated the tool and changed its name.

Uninstall it. If it doesn't fix the problem and you want to have it back, it is easily downloaded from Verizon.

Some anti-virus programs have been catching it as malware, it's possible that your anti-virus has quarantined something from the program.

There are some pretty harsh opinions about the program out there. Some people love it's ease, some people have had real battles with it.
