    I am trying to install a Seagate T2 hardrive. Windows 7 ,
first off I cannot find anywhere in Bios to utilize the Automatic Detect
Hardrive function, I have Seagate Install Wizard. The computer is not recognizing
the drive nor is the Wizard. Any help greatly appreciated.

    1. Turn on the computer and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly until a BIOS Setup screen opens.
If nothing happens, press the F1 key repeatedly.
    2. In the BIOS Setup utility, navigate the Advanced menu
    3. Check that Onboard PATA/SATA Adapters is set to Both.

Abekl, this option is not listed in any of the Bios settings. Unless I am missing something.
Check that Onboard PATA/SATA e Bios settingsAdapters is set to Both.

The wording in your BIOS might be a little different. Check for a setting that sounds like the above and make sure that both SATA and PATA adapters are enabled. It also might be under a menu item called Storage.

Abekl, thanks for staying with me. I don't know how to find that info, could I get it from the HP web site? A friend mentioned that perhaps the HD is too big?

While it is possible that the BIOS is not recognizing the hard drive because it's too big, I doubt it, as you have a modern system.

About the only thing I could recommend at this point is that you bring the system into a repair shop where they know how to troubleshoot such problems. I wish I could be more help, but without physically being there, I am really limited.

Thanks A, I am suspecting this might be a bad drive, might just return the damn thing. Don't need the hassle of going to a repair shop, when they are done , I probably could have bought a new rig.
