Battlefield Vietnam Sound problem

Hi all long time since i had to come here
as you can see from the title its a BFV problem..
My problem is ive instaled a new opperating system from XP to win7.
It went fine appart from my games sound not bieng all presant ie background noises ,i hear everything ellse guns,tanks helis etc.
So i decided to try and run it in compatabilty for windows98/win ML the sound worked, everthing ...but a few minutes later punkbuster kicked me saying (for 0 minutes)...RESTRICTION :service communication failer: punkbusterA.ex so i put it back as was and it works but no sound...
anyone know of a fix :confused...ps accasionaly i can hear these missing sounds only verry,verry quiet!ive looked everywhare and this is my last hope ,allso somone mentioned that a no CD instalation for BFV would sort the problem ...how i do this:confused and wel , how does it work surley i can do it without ???

I assume you've made sure you have the latest drivers for your sound card installed? Can you post a screenshot of the game's sound options, including any advanced options?

 

Hi Mimsy how are you ..,all drivers upt date,
Ive had a look at the sound options and well without a screener i wont say anymore cept to say the game now lives on an older comp rebootd just for the game :majorso a snapshot is a bit harder than usual.
Tnight i play ..and will look at the options and make notes ..
I will post tomorrow i hope this will be of use

 

ok ..BFV runs the Miles fast 2D positional audio,
is it possible to update said audio device ?
So far i cant fined anywhere to update Miles Fast or even if i can !
I am on Windows 7 and so if i install Realtek AC97 drivers for Windows98/ME/2000/XP/2003 will they work on Win7 ? if so youd expect Battlefield Vietnams sound to work.....So please post any tips or help :major The only way to know is for me to try it
