I've noticed recently that just about all threads I have started in the MG Interesting Links Forum recently, have attracted a single star in the Thread Ratings. One star out of a possible 5 stars.

As it is NOT me who is posting the rating, I'd like to know who is posting the Thread Rating. (I am assuming that MA or CP will not provide this info, presumably confidential, so I would appreciate a PM from the originator.)

    Why only 1 star, and not 3 or 5 stars? :-D :-D

I would not take any notice of the ratings Bazz, I mean I have seen useless threads, total waste of forum space yet they get 5 stars... wouldn't worry :-D

I never thought much about ratings
It would be nice to see who voted or rated any given thread, kinda like some polls???

Why do you think thread ratings mean anything, they are their and some threads with 5*s are due to spammers posting in said threads and giving them 5*s to try and make folk click them.

I think my forum account is setup to give all of your posts a 1* ;) or if it isnt it should be for threads like this, its like worrying about your postcount!!! they mean nothing and its the content that means more.

But then what you may think is good others may not, its like the ratings for software in the downloads section, I may think an app is great and rate it 5* but it may end up lower due to others not thinking its as good as I do and then they rate it 1* so that lowers its rating.

I was going to post last night but didn't. I agree I think ratings really isn't good here. So many post aren't going to be a 5 out 5. I will probably be one of those people that my threads get rated 1 out of 5. Not everybody thinks a certain thread is as good as the other. Take bigbazza so many post of very good information and links(I certainly enjoy reading there post) yet some may not even tho its very informative.

Thanks to all for your comments. I've never voted for a thread that I can remember. I was just curious. No big deal on whether a thread attracts a vote, or not. As I said, just curious. :-D
