missing threads?

hi, have i become persona non-grata?! i spent a long time typing 2 threads today -- one on Gmail Motion and one on the physics of teabags -- and i don't see EITHER of them there anymore!

i posted both in the "lounge" -- is that not the proper place for them?

 

post them again?! hoo boy, i musta spent 2 hours typing them the FIRST time!

were it something controversial, i might have saved a "safety" copy, but for something LOUNGE-bound....never rly IMAGINED they'd get zapped for any reason whatsoever....

 

Yeah been there CAT not nice when it happens.Once a get above two paragraphs I select and copy it to the clipboard,more than than that I copy the whole lot and save the file on my desktop.

Personally I'd like to the see the what the physics of teabags is all about:-D

Gmail Motion was Googles attempt at an April Fool Joke and I suspect that the physics of teabags was another.

As it is now April 2nd, the April fools jokes would backfire, so save them for next year. It will give the OP another 12 months to type them out and Save the to a folder. :-D:-D:-D

my post on Gmail Motion was about 3 lines long, basically just saying "dumb April Fools joke".

my post on teabag physics was like 8 paragraphs long and sought actual insight.

doesn't some admin see a copy lingering anywhere?! there is NO WAY i'm typing that again from scratch!!



and could someone pls tell me WHY it was deleted?! i'm not complaining, but if i'm running afoul of a rule on something SOOO innocuous, i'd just like to know what it was!

Are you sure you did not click on 'Preview Post' instead of 'Submit Reply'.
I have done it occassionally and read my post as it would appear and, being satisfied with spelling etc, just moved to another thread and wondered where the hell my post had disappeared to when I went back to it.
I am a seasoned Mod on a couple of forums so not exctly a novice at forum posting, but it happens to most of us at some time.

I seen the gmail thread last night before going to bed.

 

the title of the teabag one was "Something Wicked This Way Comes" i believe...in case that helps some admin find it in a pile of limbo somewhere....
