Desperate Help Needed Please

Ok well I was online tonight and Internet crashed. When I clicked the IE logo it said 'restore last session' or 'go to homepage'. I clicked homepage and the window just disappeared. And it happened over and over. So I thought hmmm maybe a virus. So I ran SAS and MBAM and nothing. MGTools didn't work and root repeal came up with a c://ksdfghk.bin that was invisible to windows?

Anyway, I then restarted the laptop and it now just keeps restarting over and over! It won't load up. I've tried loading from safe mode's and to redraft from last known good configuration. Nothing!

I'm getting worried now. I don't have the original disc to perhaps boot from disc.

I've booted to ubuntu before. Would that work in this instance.

Someone help me please!

 

Right so I managed to download kasperspky.iso file and run it and it only found 1 malware file.

Restarted the laptop and same issue. I had this problem once before and I think I used a program like Ubuntu to fix the issue. Shall I try doing this?

 

Right, well it all started coming back to me that last time this error occured it got all the way to the blue windows log in before a pop up came up saying error with windows/system32/system or software cant exactly remember.

This time it loads up 'VAIO' then goes to 'windows xp or safe mode black screen' then just restarts.

I tried doing what I did last time by copying files from system rp into system32/config of the DEFAULT,SAM,SOFTWARE,SECURITY AND SYSTEM files but that didnt work this time.

If I can just get it to the point where it will load up I can run all the scans!

Anyway Ubuntu got me into the laptop but I cant really do much with that. I dont know what else to try? Do the list of scans you gave all do the same thing or is it worth trying all of them?

I know just before it did this it came up with a few errors and I/the programs were deleting files. Maybe that would of caused this but I dont know how to undo or find out what I deleted!

Help me please...

 

Ok wel since this is really worrying me I have pretty much been researching non-stop.

On the microsoft website it says that the file kernel32.dll might be missing or damaged and it is a common reason why windows wont start?

Is there a way of downloading a new version of this file and installing it without having the original windows xp disc?

Ever heard of this? Is this even in the right forum?
