E-mail attachments in outlook 7 won't open

I get the following error message: "The operation has been cancelled due restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your suystem administrator."

Have ran CCleaner.
MalwareBytes. (Full scan - Safe Mode)
AdAware.
Registery Machanic.

Problem just started about 2 days ago without warning. I made NO changes that I'm aware of.

Please Help.

 

Sounds like a permissions issue.

I would goto Control Panel and under User Accounts verify what type of user you are? Standard, Guest, Administrator.

If you are listed as an administrator, try creating a new user account, making it an administrator, and then logoff the current one, and login with the new user.

Try setting up your outlook again, and if you can open attachments, then you know your user profile is hosed.

OK, I do have another problem!

I have my puter networked (Hard Wired) to my wife's. Her computer shows up as networked. When I attempt ot connect to her machine, I get a request for a Password, I've tried both my log on password, and her's - Don't work - what do I use for a PASSWORD that will allow me to log on to her computer??

 

I should have stated, this requires a new thread.

On another note #11001: Is this xp/vista/7? THere are ways to network computers together to share files. We just need to know what ye have. I someone else should be able to help soon. Though, I'm going to check to see if the Rift servers are back online..........
