Woohoo, we can now upgrade our servers from 32 gig of ram, to 64. Just 3 of them. This is so we can upgrade to exchange 2010 vm cluster. We have 3 ESXi clusters.

Our vdi network is using 2 servers running 2x6 core cpus running 196 gig of ram.:cool

Sadly, we'll have 96 gigs of ram laying around. Anyone need them for their servers?

On a side note, anyone else, besides me, who deal with enterprise domains?

 

I could do with some desktop RAM (ddr2 pc2-6400) if any one has any spare lying around.

I have XP3. One 1GB. I'm a simple man. I always have 50% free RAM. The way I see it, more RAM would be wasted on me. Thanks, I'll take the 30 year old brunet. I don't know what I'll do when I catch her. I think I forgot:-D:-D. Can any one tell me what to do if I catch her:-D

And I'm the person the server person calls when the RAM goes bad and they need warranty replacements. Does that count? LOL

Well, the decision on ram distribution, is not on my hands. But, it is ECC ram, which most home computers can't use. And, it was in jest. On the offering, but...

Though, on a side note, I may have some DDR3 ram available, mostly 2 gig modules. That is when I upgrade to 24Gig of ram. Unknown when that will happen.

When that time comes, I'm willing to give it away. To fellow geeks in need. I'll pay for shipping. mostly 6x2 gig modules. Herm, this is the wrong forums for that though. heh. :-o

Speaking of cake and ram. Hrmm. May come a day that that will happen.

 

I'd love to give my old computer away,amd64X6800GT,it just sits there in the corner doing nothing which is a shame but I know one day I'll need it for something,if just to test a dodgy AGP card.

 

the problem you may have here is if the RAM is ECC or not.

I have a spare 1GB 240pin ddr2 pc2-5300(non ecc and unbuffered) i would be willing to swap for the type I need, as I have to put in dual modules. I would also pay postage costs via s.a.e, though I could not afford to pay for the brunette or cake :-D.
