I can come to the forums, but try to go to the download section. This is what I get.

Could not connect to remote server

You tried to access the address http://www.majorgeeks.com/, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.
Make sure your Internet connection is active and check whether other applications that rely on the same connection are working.
Check that the setup of any Internet security software is correct and does not interfere with ordinary web browsing.
If you are behind a firewall on a Local Area Network and think this may be causing problems, talk to your systems administrator.
Try pressing the F12 key on your keyboard and disabling proxy servers, unless you know that you are required to use a proxy to connect to the Internet. Reload the page.

    Re: Server down?

Servers do go offline or the routing or data center can have issues, I have reported this to Tim and Jim via email.

Forum and Downloads area are on iirc two different servers. If its a small issue then the site will likely be back up within an hour if more serious then be assured that someone is dealing with it and please be patient, stuff happens, I know you need your geekfix on a morning/afternoon/night but we will be on it and back up as soon as possible.

    Cheers.

    Re: Server down?

    Hi Hr

If you notice this type of issue, best route is to email tim or jim directly as thats a quick route to report this and one they will be grateful of, they dont always see or read all threads on the forum as with the site being very busy they are occupied with other aspects of progressing the site and forum.

Its apprieciated the level that you and other forum members make in reporting issues and spam etc

I know on browsing around as it makes it difficult to link to suggested downloads for users to fix issues if the downloads area is offline, but I would imagine its going to be a short lived thing, I HOPE!

    MajorGeeks main page down

For some reason I cannot connect to the main page. I had to Google MajorGeeks, click the cache button and then click forums before I could get here. I knew I should have bookmarked the forum. ;)

I had experienced the same access problem but I knew that it would be dealt with pretty quickly.

Now it appears that the forum section may be getting a face lift?
Several of the Off Topic forums are missing from the listing that I'm getting.

    I see only:
    • Lounge
    • Interesting Website Links
    • Major Geeks DC-Teams
