VundoFix download everytime?

    Hy every body there. This is my first enquiry in this forum. Many thanks for your understanding and patience. Is VundoFix to be downloaded everytime, in circumstances that's said it updates weekly but no pop or question about appear at executing it. Many thanks; kind regards.

    Welcome to MajorGeeks, sachs!

    It has been my experience that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware would be a more useful tool to have, as it detects and removes Vundo-type infections and lots more, and is updated several times daily.

    yeah. But I am asking if it is necessary to download VundoFix everytime in view that I do not see it updating by itself. Or it is that we just execute it, everytime a new version? Many thanks.

    It's an old tool, so I am not sure how often it gets updated. But your best bet would be to download it new whenever you want to run it.

    No problem....but I would also do as Dr.M suggested and keep SAS and MBAM for backup scans. ;)

    To add to what has already been stated.

    It has not been update in almost 2 years and is not that effective against current day infections which is why tools like Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware are much much better choices. Plus the are comprehensive malware scanners.
