BulletProofSoft/BPS is NOT a rogue

    BulletProofSoft has cleaned up its act and is now a legitimate company who deserves inclusion, open-arms and a red carpet on internet download web sites. They have now produced numerous free products which anyone can test at NO cost and NO risk. Registry cleaners? Got em. Spyware removal? Got it! Firewall(s)? Got it!

    Time to forgive, forget and remove from the rogue list. The company is willing to acknowledge the shameless peddling of Spybot and AdAware databases from ten years ago but all of the people with BulletProofSoft are now gone and laid off. See the new web site for verification. It is under NEW ownership, NEW management, NEW policies, NEW ideas and NEW and improved.

    If you are a representative of BPS then you need to use proper methods to get your software evaluated and advertised by contacting the owners of Major Geeks at their email addresses given in the below link:

    However based on previous history and recent info I have seen, it will likely still be classified as trash. When it can compete effectively with programs like Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware, it will be ready for reconsideration.

    What recent info? The company has been relatively dormant for years while all of the old ownership and employees who made and enforced the shady business practices were cleared out.

    Private evaulations! And even the link you posted shows that it is not liked. At anyrate, you can ask the owners to consider it for evaluation. This is not the correct place nor forum for this. This is a malware removal forum. We have a Software Forum but you will be told the same thing there, "Properly submit the program for evaluation". In this forum would would uninstall anything related to MaxSecure.

    It is an uphill climb but BPS is trying to show redemption is possible in this field.

    Besides, I am well aware from the previous (fired) administration as to how "well" the last 4-5 evaluations they had went. Needless to say, I am worried that the stench from our old programmers and management might not lead in a fair evaluation using the traditional channels. :-o

    If the program is any good, it will show in the evaluation. But even the BPS url is blocked by some programs including Malwarebytes. The 75.125.246.34 address is not even owned by BPS it is 300toys.com which uses THEPLANET.COM INTERNET SERVICES. Still looks like typical ploys used by non-reputable companies. The URL you gave does not even contain a link to a download of software. You have to navigate around to even find something that says System Tools and then Spyware Adware Remover and when you click the download button, your get bpsvg.exe which is a YouTube Video Grabber. Not a very professional website if you want to improve your image.

    At anyrate, you are wasting your time pushing it here. You need to submit properly for software evaluation.

    Ok, this is going rougher than I expected and I've already dropped into 8 other forums before this one and even have a hard hat on at this point. Ah, you're killing me here :-o

    Will submit as soon as the company has a statement for me and a package.

    I would recommend not doing it. I played around at the link some more and found a different button that actually downloads the correct bpsr.exe file. So I decided to quickly install it and give a quick run. It is still pure garbage. Hokey looking interface which tells me I needed to update and when I click update, it tells me I'm already updated. But worse is that I ran a scan on a known clean system and there were 270 FALSE Infected Registry Items and 26 FALSE Infected Files/Folders. And that was just a quick scan. A deeper scan would have been worse I'm sure. If I fixed what it listed, I would have broken many valid programs including possibly Windows and I would have removed things that were actually put in place in the registry to block malware. This program is still a rogue in my book.

    Sorry but you should stop spamming forums with this trash.

    I'd say it is back to the drawing board for them, or worse. I was just an independent contractor for them because their people were too scared to show up here themselves on account of "the big guy" (whoever that might be).

    Message understood, stick a fork in me, I am done doing their dirty work for a check.

    It doesn't even uninstall properly either. It leaves things in the StartUp Menu and also it StartUp registry keys and also other keys.

    Well I guess that answers the question for the 1-2 people wondering what they've been up to recently.

    As for me, if I recall the script correctly, this is the portion where I fall down and go boom like an oak tree. Can't keep the people/audience waiting.
