    Hello,

I just finished to do it and I would like if somebody that know how to read the logs can tell me if everything is alright with them.

The computer was all messed up at the beginning and was difficult. But after run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and then Combofix, it got much better. The only problem that I had was with RootRepeal, I couldn't make it work. An error like 0xc084000 or something like that. So I Just moved on to MGTools.

Everything seems to be alright now. But I would like to be sure.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Dr.M, Thank you.

As I said, everything seemed to be alright, but maybe its not. Because I installed Avast antivirus and I can't update it. It keep saying that cannot connect to the server. Doesn't matter which network I'm connected to (tried three different). And Just now Windows Defender wanted to do an scan, so I allowed it to do so and it found an Adware:Win32/OpenCandy (Already removed).

    What do you think/suggest?

    Thanks again.

    Hello, Koala
You may wish to view this thread: Proxy Server - Changing Settings

Did you knowlingly install Conduit Engine?

    Step 1:
Please look in Add/Remove Programs (Programs and Features if using Vista or Windows 7) for the following and uninstall if found. If you get any errors just make a note and continue on.
Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

    Step 2:
Now we need to use ComboFix.
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware, firewall...etc) programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix. *Remember to re-start them before coming back online.
    • If ComboFix tells you it needs to update to a new version, make sure you allow it to update.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text inside of the below code box into it (make sure you scroll all the way down in the code box to get all lines selected ):
    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
If it asks you to overide the previous file with the same name, click YES.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
      http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif
    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Step 3:
If you don't know what the below is, use Windows Explorer to navigate to and delete:
    • C:\Windows\LMI26E6.tmp

    Step 4:
Open CCleaner - select "Cleaner" > "Run Cleaner" <---use this function ONLY!

    Step 5:
Now install the latest Sun Java Runtime Environment

    Step 6:
Then run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista or Windows 7, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

Please attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file to your next reply.

    * Make sure you tell me if you had any problems running this procedure; and answer this - "What malware problems are you still experiencing?"

@dr.m , You need to fix the below seen in nwktst.txt
    Code:

    Please also do the following:

Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. (Do not include any space above the word "REGEDIT4")Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" . Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me whether or not you receive a success message about adding the above to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

Please tell me how your machine is working now.
