OK. Before our hard drive wipe our openoffice had all these cool fonts, now they look like they're all ugly old typewriter fonts, except lucida calligraphy. Recommend a link to get fonts like the old openoffice used to have (no spyware, of course)?? I especially liked -and excuse me if I got it wrong- Fido girls. Had all the little hearts on the letters.
And I want to download a bunch at a time, not just one at a time.:confused
I remember there was Andy, & Kristen, Blackadder, several cursive scripts.....
    Thank you.

Not sure of any site that will allow you download groups of fonts at once, but the is among the best font sites out there.

    Hi

Open Office uses the same font manager as Windows, so all you need to do is add them to the Windows font manager, Control Panel > Fonts

    Add font
    Windows XP
    Windows Vista
    Windows 7

Dafonts fonts are zip files & Camunzip wants to extract them to "my documents". If I add them to fonts, can I then delete them from my documents? i dont' want them in there. Also I didn't understand the directions for adding fonts without using computer space. (XP)

    Thanks

I'd remove Cam unzip. Malwarebytes stops me from going to the site. XP includes an unzipper. Just move the folder you want to unzip from it's current location to the fonts folder. Everything will unzip there and then you can delete/erase the zipped folder.

    Directions from dafont site http://www.dafont.com/faq.php#win

We have never been able to unzip anything before I got an unzipper.

    Hi

Yes once they are installed into the font folder then you can delete them if you wish from my documents.

If you install anything then you will use Hard Drive space up, no way to use fonts in any application like Open Office without having then in the fonts folder.

    Restoring XP's built in unzip
Reboot. Your zipped files will have a folder with an zipper on it. Right click and select Extract all.
