    Hi

What are the temps you are getting in your case for CPU. Motherboard and GPU can use Speedfan for this HERE?

Likeluhood is that your GPU is being taxed and overheating, you could see if case fan placement is optimal and for that you will have to tell us what case you have, what fans and what the position in the case is and the direction of airflow from each of them,

Also if the inside of the case is messy with the cables, you may need to tidy them up to aid airflow as rule of thumb is pull air in from the front and out at the back and top, but if cables are in the way too much it restricts the airflow.

You are not Over-clocking anything like CPU or GPU are you?

Thanks for the quick response sir and thanks for the link. I'll check my temps and tell you what I'll get.

Actually, it's just an ordinary case, standard I guess, the brand is unknown. I guess my fans aren't putting much cool into it. I've got 3 small ones, 1 for exhaust. I may also need to clean the wires then... Would you suggest replacing the silicone gel from the heat sinks of the processor and the graph card? My friend said that could also be the problem.

I'm not overclocking. I didn't change the settings since I bought it. The power seems sufficient.

Anyway, awhile ago, I ran Sims 3 and it didn't shut down. I tried reinstalling NBA 2k11 coz I thought that could be the problem. But then, the same thing happened after 3 mins of playing. When that happens, I'll turn it on again and run Windows normally, but when it reached "Starting Windows" it'll hang again...

    thanks so much sir

Try to turn the in game setting way down. Turn all the crowd texture to low. I would bet that your getting hot. but you could also need to update the game. What version of windows are you running. If you are using vista, you can go into the admin tools, and look at the event viewer, it will tell you if there are any compatibility issues, or incorrect shutdown procedures.

Im using Windows 7 32-bit, my game's running well and good now, im just worried bout the temps im getting from the Speedfan that @DavidGP gave me...Im getting like 50-61 C from core 0 to 3, but eventually cooling down..I guess Im just freaking out from the icons of Speedfan--the ones with flaming icons..

Sounds good for an Intel Q6600, temp wise. I ran mine for 3yrs.+ @70C and is still going strong AFAIK. I would run OCCT for 20 mins. as that will stress your machine to the max. It will record temps on a chart until the machine shuts off, if it does. As to Speedfan, ignore the burning fires as they are very conservative.;)

isn't overclocking risky? maybe i should try that and see what happens...oh so speedfan's just playing with me...thought my pc's gonna be razed hahaha

There's no overclocking here, just running everything at full load. Ya, don't freak out on speedfan, just know what temps your hardware is at and compare them at AMD or Intel spec page.

OCCT does not overclock your PC, it is used by overclockers AFTER overclocking to test their stability, but it can also be used by non-overclockers to find potential weak-points in their hardware :)

The character and the environment seems blinking all the time, like a blinking light's projected on them, i thought at first that it was part of the game, but when i went to a dark place, the same problem occur. i tried reconfiguring the details, but still...it annoys me...

what do you think is the problem guys?

    Hi

The games are they retail versions or downloaded off the internet? if downloaded where from?

If you have a Windows 7 PC an Nvidia GPU then physx is compatible.
I would be tempted to install DirectX9c as many games need it HERE to run properly, doesn't really explain the shut-down as temp or version of game could.

retail versions sir....once again, thanks sir...uhm can't I use latest versions of DirectX like the DX10 or DX11?

Many games require fuller compatibility with DX9 than DX10/11 give by default, running the DX9c installer only adds to the functionality of the later versions, it doesn't overwrite them.

Hey no probs and while you may have with Win7 DX11 some games need the directx dlls from DX9 as in d3d.dll etc so that the game runs properly, I had this issue with Crysis.

Your 9500GT can't run DX11 so don't bother, do what David told you.
