If you plugged in another keyboard and it began working fine you could have a hardware failure in the keyboard. Or the new keyboard uses a different driver.

You might start by reinstalling the keyboard drivers and see if that helps.

If you don't have any viruses or keyloggers ect, nothing triggered the Anti-virus and so forth. You have properly uninstalled the drivers and restarted your machine to allow windows to reinstall the keyboard drivers. Then that leaves a hardware issue. It could be the flat cable that connects your keyboard to the motherboard. This sometimes happens if the machine took an impact and sometimes doesn't show up until later. I have seen it before but it's kind of rare. It creates a bad connection. Or it could be you have dropped something into the keyboard. When this happens the problem can move around from button to button as you move a laptop around the object moves to different buttons ect.

Keyloggers can make your machine type slow and miss letters but my best guess since keyloggers are normally detected by virus scanners is the hardware in some shape or form. Its hard to say exactly with out it right in front of me, but that's my best guess.

Before you take it all apart though make sure you have properly reloaded the keyboard drivers.

Another test that's pretty good is to boot up to a copy of Puppy linux from the CD drive and see how your hardware behaves when running that. If suddenly your keyboard works fine you can be reasonably sure it's not the hardware.

Anyone else have any ideas on this one?

Please stop using the red font. It's nice and fancy, but unneeded.

And makes reading it somewhat difficult for those of us who have less than perfect colour vision.

OMG STOP TALKING ABOUT THE FONT. I think it might be liquid even thought i never spilled anything. The air could be humid because my dad played it after he toke a shower. And after that he closed it. So that might give us a clue.

If that's the case the behavior should improve once it's dried out. Many keyboards have a sheet of rubber between the keys and the circuit board, so a little moisture normally won't damage the components. An entire coffee of course is another situation entirely. But your dads after shower drips are most likely not a big issue. Keyboards normally dry out with out much problem however, laptops are not just keyboards, if enough water gets in it can get down to the internal parts of the computer. If this has happened it can cause all sorts of havoc. Assuming the keyboard has had time to dry, and knowing that an external keyboard is having the same problem. I really do think it's time to test the hardware.

The easiest way to test to be sure that it's not a Windows issue is to boot from a Linux based CD. I use Puppy Linux for this because it's small and easy to use. All you have to do is burn it to disk, set your Bios to boot from CD first (if it's not already), and then put the disk in the drive and restart. It will walk you through a small setup process then you can open a text file and test your keyboard function. If it behaves fine... then it is a Windows issue, if it misbehaves in the Linux environment you know you have a hardware issue.

That will give you a place to start.

This should help you get started:
    Puppy Linux Site

This is a good tool to have on hand anyway for file recovery.

You might want to check to see if you have Num Lock on too. ;)

The Keyboard will most likely work again when it's dry. However, in some cases where the keyboard has an exposed circuit board beneath, it could have circuit board damage from the water shorting things out. That would depend on the construction of the keyboard. Water damage is more likely on laptop keyboards for obvious reasons. But in most cases a small amount of water will just evaporate. Small amount meaning wet hands or perhaps a light splash. In all cases of liquids running down between the keys the unit should be turned off and unplugged until you are certain it's completely dry.

If it's anything sticky the keyboard may need t be disassembled and cleaned.

I just found something else. If i keep pressing 56 with four or seven, it will type a punctuation or delete the sentence. and the sound bar lightens up, I also found out my sound decrease button is not working too, whenever i press it,the laptop start spamming random keys again.

If this is a laptop you're probably going to wind up replacing the keyboard and if it's a desktop the same applies. Sorry:cry

Have you tried using the on screen keyboard? It's Start > Programs > Accessories (Ease of access?) somewhere.

Is very likely that some stuff got in because problems seems to go around my keyboard when I just discovered it. But it stoped. but my laptop always get stuff in it and i cleaned it off, I checked the buttons that wasn't working and is very clean. It also might be keylogger since I downloaded alot of possible virus on the day before I got the problem.
