is anyone good with photoshop?

    I play an online game called Kings of Chaos and I'm apart of an alliance. I was wondering if anyone on here was good at photoshop or any other photo editing software and if so, I was wondering if someone wouldn't mind helping me out by creating/ editing me a photo that I have with my game name in it and my alliances name in it as well.

    Hi

    Photo editing is not too difficult, just needs a bit of patience and learning the application a bit, Photoshop is a powerful app that will do the job, but many other apps can do just as good The GIMP is one and free and not the $600+ PS CS5 is.

    Attach your image and what text you want on it and if I get a chance I will give it a whirl and likely some others will jump in with their interpretations as well, now I've gotten the ball rolling ;)

    I'm still in awe of the logo you put together for me David, and I'm happy to report it's finally made its way throughout the company. We just ordered business cards with it on, and I'm in the process of revamping the website, where it will also appear.

    I'd have never called you out as being someone who could help, but I'm thankful for what you've done for me, and happy to see your comment here. You sir, are the type of user who makes these forums worth seeking out.

    Cheers for those kind words, wow that's nice to know the design made it into your company :) it if I say so myself did look perfect for your company and nice and clean colours to stand out, as well as looking modern.

    In the process of doing one for work and my dept at present, but am torn on a few ideas, so going to do them all and see which is best, only just at present after 4 days decided on the font and text layout :( the logo is next.

    I'm sry that it has taken me so long to respond David but i have been with out internet for about 2 weeks now which isn't nothing compared to what all has happened. Long story short.... I live in Fayette, AL but have a small place in Tuscaloosa, AL which is where I work also so I don't have to commute back and forth everyday but an ef-4 / ef-5 tornado come through on April 27 and nothing has been the same since.

    Working at night and cutting trees during the day.... doesn't leave time to get online to chat.

    Back to the topic.

    I would like to remove the alice (the girl) from the image while keeping the back ground and keep the text how it is but change it to say

    Relentless Legacy: Defected

    In the same format/ way that they have the title of the move.

    Not forgotten and hope the local damage to your home and area is not too bad those tornadoes have been more violent and intensive than I gather you normally get in the US.

    So if I have this right...

    1. Remove Alice from the image, not a problem and already done that part just now.
    2. Keep the text, now by that do you mean keep the same font but remove the words that are there already and add in the same font the words "Relentless Legacy: Defected
    "
    That may take a bit of time (will have more time over weekend to do this) as I would need to find the exact font then see if I can blend the font to have a metallic look about it, would you want the words Relentless Legacy: in silver like the films text then Defected in red as per the 3D text or all silver?

    Oh have found the font used in that version of resident evil while typing this post up.... or one thats damn close.

    Thank you for your concern but I wish I could say the damage here wasn't bad but I can't. In our town we lost over 40 ppl but I heard there was a ttl loss of over 300 from that storm on the 27th of april. As for damages It leveled Alberta city which is a low budget area were a lot of ppl lived as well as Rosedale area. It also leveled 15th/ McFarland and on up the street. Took out all the homes up there and businesses (schlotchskys deli, Taco Casa, Mc.D's, subway, Full Moon BBQ, Milo's, krispy kreme, Chucky Cheeses, Hobby Lobby, 2 Gym's CVS and much more) Thats just one little area. The last estimated damage report I heard of was 2.5bil.

    As for your question for the font.
    I would like to used the same font that they are using but if I can't find it (going to search for it after I post this reply) or you can't find it then just try and choose whatever font you think looks similar to it or good. Yes, replace the movie title with Relentless Legacy: (then under that) Defected. Like the same set up they have on there.

    Question for color.
    At first I was just thinking all silver but after you suggesting the 3D red/black color for defected..... I really like the sound of that and if you are able to pull that of, that would be sweet and much much appreciative.

    I did some looking around but I haven't been able to find that font. Taking a closer look at it, I noticed different letters are connected so I'm guessing it isn't a font and was created only for the movie title.

    This is just a first draft and the text is just a placeholder for now, but is this close to what you want, it wont fill the area as much as the original text and its missing Alice from the image, but I will do a few ideas, but likely over weekend if thats ok.

    thank you and yea that's about how I was thinking it would look like for position wise. If you are able to layer the R like it is in the original that would be cool but if your not then don't stress over it and any idea you might have feel free too. :)

    do you think that might be a little too much white in that one little area where you removed alice?

    If making it a little more narrow will help with some of the excess space then that's fine also since It will be going into my signature on our forums.

    Hi

    The excess white can be removed, its their as the app I have for image editing will add a clone of what was it thinks should be there, it will take a bit of manual cloning of another area of the image to remove it, but likely it can be removed without looking out of place.

    As for the text that can be layered as in the image, for slimming the image down sadly you would loose what I think is the main part of the image in the hammer thing!

    But I will over weekend come up with a sort of clone of the original and an idea of what I think may work just as well, having used sig images back in the day, wow last time I used a sig image on a forum was 2001.

    I had made this one, and forgot to post it. It's slight different because I didn't edit the background, I recreated it, and I used a different Bevel on the text... I also made it forum sig sized. So you can maybe use it in a couple places.

    Sorry time is getting away from me in leaps and bounds of late.

    Not really getting the text to look as I would want it too and think that Wenchies take on the positioning is good, but this is where I ended up at so far as to get that font to look like it has substance and look metallic is not easy as I think the font thats out their for Resident Evil is not a perfect one. that resizes well.
