Browser crashes all of a sudden.

All of a sudden, I'm being plauged by browser crashes.

I've been running Firefox and decided to go with the latest version, 4.0 which I absolutely can't stand. I don't like the new set-up

I put IE8 back on, due to compatability issues with accessing my bank.

They both seem to be crashing quite often and am leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth for both.

I guess my question is should I try something like Google Chrome, or is there something else out there that is stable.

Bing seems to be loaded into both, though I'm sure that I put it there.

Forgot to mention that it's my 3 year old Acer laptop running Vista and I haven't really had any problems up until about a week or so.

Forgot to mention, that these browsers are both loaded onto the laptop.

 

I guess it's possible. Running the latest version of AVG 2011 free and I'm up to date.

Whatcha think I should be checking?
