That was the headline of our local paper. It made me laugh.:-D

I'm not sure about other areas, but here in the US, traditionally when the weather people predict snow (even if it's for 1 inch), everyone seems to go to the grocery store and buys out all the bread and milk.

I guess they are equating the end of the world prediction to a snow storm. LOL

Turns out both were equally unlikely.

Has the rapture happened yet? Did you see where some atheists were offering to care for the pets? For a fee of course... :-D

Links in with this thread HERE but this chap got the prophecy wrong back in the late 90s so kinda think come 6pm we will know and then will come the excuses from the preacher, in that the feng sui was not in alignment with the orbit of the blue moon and the wolfs where not spinning around and howling in the right pitch.

He in an interview I watched yesterday said that the 6pm thing follow the international date lines time zone, so for most of the day he has this covered ;) like betting on all the horses in a race!

Difficult isn't it? :-D I have a real short fuse too which does not help matters.

Anyway if it is the end of the world, I'm at least gonna have a last cuppa tea ;)

I resemble that remark, although I'm not an atheist. Just a realist. LOL

Unfortunately, since we're all still here, now I have to do laundry and clean the house. Probably should consider paying my bills as well. Shoot. :-D

Fah, even if you accept that there's no year zero, which is a mathematical fallacy anyway, then you're also forgetting to account that AD began the momen Jesus was born, which is 7bc. So that means that this occured in 2004. In other words, he didn't even get the math right.

Jesus was born 7 years Before Christ. I always find that funny.:-D

Anyway, I'm not worried about long lines. I hear they'll thin out around 6 o'clock.

It may have done as this preacher is spouting stuff he profasised (is that a word, dunno if not is should be) back in the 80s iirc, but as 6pm GMT+1 has gone by and the only earthquake was my stomach growling like a narky bear from the duck and pancakes I just ate then I think I'm ok, unless I have been wished off to heaven and typing this is from the superheavenhighway and then wow broadband (pearlygates.com ISP) in heaven is still slow!!! :(

But folk panic about anything these days and bulk buy for no reason, at times its funny as hell to read and see on the news TV, for one reason in that if the world is to end having enough milk and bread to last a few weeks is not going to help!

Dave! Duck and Pancakes? lol...were you trying to make your world end yourself?? roflmao That's got to be the oddest combo I have ever heard.

The world couldn't have ended if your ISP is still slow. Certainly heaven (or hell for that matter) would have upgraded internet speeds.:-D

Well trying to make my world end Laura or more so the fact I ate that much I had to lie down for an hour!

Just had someone poke me in a nice way to make sure I was not on some astral plane, damn kooks take all the fun out of weekends, why couldn't he have been right? at least it would have given the news agencies something neat to write about other than http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13482403 who care over some footballers tweets and what indiscretion he/she has done.

Well, I don't know what's going on in your part of the world, but something is DEFINITELY happening here. There is a hideous sound coming from the east, unlike anything I've ever heard before. Our neighbors are screaming and their pets are panicking. It's making no sense, sounds like someone or something is in deep pain or suffering, and the sounds are worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. I can only make out small bits of it, something about a dog and a truck and their world being torn apart.

Oh wait, Abby turned on country music; all is well. :)
