remote control with scan feature

Im at school and in the empty student union, the "study area" at the gym and a few other places on campus, there are flat plasma tvs that are always on, with the volume up...
how you are supposed to study with this noise,I dont know, does anyone watch these tvs? not that Ive ever seen, no, they watch as they walk by..

I am looking for universal remote that doesnt require me to imput numbers or know the brand of the TV, and be able to control it
or the TV in the lounge now is a mitsubishi 4025 flat screen

These are a ton fo fun!!!! I gave them to the kids at Christmas as stocking stuffers, then we had fun at the mall with a Dell kiosk selling flat screens.
