Change the Baby blue borders in Windows 7

This MAY work in other Windows OS's as well. I haven't tried it in other than W7.

How to change blue Border color in Windows 7
• Right click on a blank spot on your Desktop
• Click on Personalize
• Click On Window Color
• Click on any of the 16 colors that you like. You may have to experiment with the 16 to find which one you like best.
• Second last color on bottom line is Slate, for example.
• If you don't like the Enable Tranparency default, uncheck it.
• Slide the Color Intensity slider to the far LEFT to decrease intensity (or far RIGHT to increase)
• Click Save changes and exit the screen and you're done.

That Baby blue is gone forever. :major :cool

I think Windows 7 has a nice choice of colors in Window Color. I'm using Pumpkin, along with the Background US-wp5, which reminds me of some scenery I saw in Colorado during a visit to Colorado Springs about a year ago.

 

Thanks usafveteran, for your post. I became sick of the Dark Blue borders in W7 making the text in the top border hard to read. I had never read of any way to change this until faithful ol' Google came to my rescue. :cool.

Also the Transparency effect default was useless IMHO. I managed to fix both with the method I used in post #1. I still use the original Blue, but now with the Color Transparency slider moved to the farthest left, for the lightest effect.
