I think its the oppsite, thats his life story and hes trying to prevent it from happening to others.

With things like homemaking/DIY women are ruled by their heart,men are ruled by their brain.

That guy is a chauvinist jerk.

Honest question and her first post on the forum:confused Notice she didn't come back for a second post.

 

She should dump him for two reasons.
1.He bought a Jeep Cherokee.
2. He spent another $2500 fixing the Jeep Cherokee.

 

I have to agree with Laura . . . I didn't see the gals question as being unreasonable. Not to mention the wacko that responded had no idea who was paying for the repairs, nor had he any knowledge of the relationship between the OP and her boyfriend. A good gal-pal of mine went deeply in debt a long time ago to support her no-good, dead-beat boyfriend in much the same way. This went on for a long, long time, and didn't stop until he physically abused her - I took a door off it's hinges chasing him out of her house after she called me. He knew better then to ever came back. Still makes me angry 20 years later.

Totally out of line for someone to respond to an honest, innocent question in that fashion - must be a very troubled soul. Or just a punk.

 

I have had a passion for autos since i was a kid and my whole life has been a circle of buying:repairing:building and selling auto's.
My wife (what a patient lady) has never given me a hard time over how much money it cost me because it was my hobby.
Now in my later years the passion is still there but my physical ability is sadly missing.

I feel sorry for the girl asking the question because it was most probably an innocent request for someone else's thought on the subject and the guy jumped straight down her throat.
