I don't know what MG'S official position is on it but it's safe.

BTW, I only used it for speed tests, not for their free software.

I've used that site in the past and its fine but it offerers nothing you could already do freely, yes initial scans are free but to tune up etc is not.

Personally and its my position only and not Majorgeeks is that, you dont need it, good file cleaner, defrag and malware protection is all you need as well as keeping your apps upto date, and if you find that a bind then Secunia PSI is a great app.

As Augie mentions its good for testing but tweaking will cost you, and in the main scans of your PC to try and find areas of concern are IMHO things you may not actually need.

You have all supplied the information I need.
I do use Secunia whicch I find invaluable. I asked about PCpitstop as I had a bsod a while ago and wondered if damage was done. I was told to run the scan and did. It came out fine. Long story short, I was creating an updated Macrium rescue disc which caused the pc to roll the bsod until I had a chance to insert another disc.
I noticed all the tests etc at the site and was curious as to their integrity.
