Trying to download free CD burning software from your Yahoo emails?!

More details would be very useful.

Which Windows version and Service Pack, which email program, which browsers have you tried?

Yes, we need more info. Like, can you get into your email account? Have you clicked on any attachments? Are you having any other issues, which may indicate a malware issue?

Firstly, thx for the reply. To answer your ques, yes I can get into my email acct and see the emails, but I can't open them and it won't let me send one either. It simply won't open when I click o compose email. I wasn't trying to download cd burn software from my email accnt but from various diff sites on the net. Yes I have other difficulties, such as a problem with the order that my comp wants the letters to come out while writing emails etc, v. frustrating, & a lot of correction, but this predates my current prob.

Sorry guys, I didn't realize you could click on the 'thanks' button. I owe you guys many thanks for previously resolved problems

Just been back into my email acct, all seems well. Many thanks anyway. That just leaves the seemingly random letter positioning prob. When I write an Email if I take my eye off the screen I often find that the cursor has jumped back a few letters or words! resulting in unitelligible garbage. This requires constant correction and is inntermittent so you can imagine what a pain it is. thanks in advance.

My wife had that problem for a while, insisting that she wasn't touching the touchpad. ( I am assuming this is a laptop ). Her's is a Toshiba, and hitting the Fn key with the F9 key disabled the touchpad. That solved the problem. ( Yes, she is using a USB mouse ). You may need to check your instructions on how to disable the touchpad.

Thx, I'm pretty sure that you're gonna be right. Although I too could swear that I don't hit the touchpad and also use a USB mouse. Any idea how I disconnect the pad on my Samsung?

On the Yahoo email page, there's a link near the top that says something like 'Switch to Yahoo Classic', have you tried that?

Yes I can get into my account. No I haven't opened any attachments other than from well-known sources. My mail began working again normally a couple of days ago, but I'm now experiencing the same prob, unable open or send emails.

I don't understand how the ques/ans order works on this site. (I'm a bit slow I know). Anyway it turns out that in my Yahoo it says Do you only want to download secure content? It sounds dumb but it won't let me open my mail l if I say 'no', and this seems to have been the problem all the time. Forgive an old stroke victim and thank you.

FYI, I had the same problems using Firefox and Chrome on my work pc (worked fine at home in any browser and fine at work in IE8). I contacted Yahoo (I have a premium account with them) and they did nothing but run me through basic "troubleshooting" list that did nothing. No response for a week (but I sent them a bunch of links to others reporting the same issue, so I knew it wasn't just me or my pc and I wanted them to know that).

Long and short of it, it's magically working today for me (in both Chrome and Firefox). My work pc hasn't been rebooted in days, no updates have been done to it -- so I'm 99.9% sure it had nothing to do with anything on our end. I think they just finally fixed whatever wasn't 100% compatible with those browsers and their new "minty" Yahoo mail upgrade.

Hello. Problem persists. mssg says 'stack overflow line 1' or sometimes 'line 33'. it is also giving the mssg 'a script is making your computer run slow .Do you want to run this script? t o which i say no. right now I can't open my emails or delete them (I'm presuming 'stack overflow' is to do with having too many emails, 1400).
