    Farmers are worried. Americans don't/want to really work picking fruits, expect bigger prices this fall. What's wrong with real work man, McD's is too easy?:confused

    If that trend continues, construction, fruit and vegetable prices will increase. Guess who'd have to pay for it? Better yet, start your own vegetable garden, it'll be healthier anyway with all those chemicals being used. ;)

    Considering the conditions these farm workers live in and their meager wages I don't blame them for returning to their native homeland, especially if/when the economy in Mexico is improving. But I have an inkling that poisoning on farm fields is practiced in the same way there as it is in the USA. Perhaps they can find a better life and wish them all the best.
