Ran across this on another forum. What is the saying, 'improvise, adapt and overcome.'

Inspirational? Sounds more like looking for revenge. Hasn't he had enough of war?rolleyes

I don't know if he lost part of his leg in a war or an accident. I would guess war, judging from the uniform. But could have been in a car wreck, I don't know.

Actually, he is at a training place in the US. they are apparently doing some medium or long range shooting. His gun does not have a bipod. So, he uses prosthetic leg to shoot. The place is a voluntary place, they train law enforcement and civilians. He is not in a war situation.

You know, some people enjoy shooting at paper targets... Everyone has their own ideas of overcoming obstacles.

Heck man, I can understand that from being a paraplegic myself. However, being in full camo and seeming to snipe, I'll leave that interpretation to you.;)

Seeming to snipe? Pretty sure he is shooting paper. See the people lined up, and the instructor walking....

Full Cammo? Bullets from full cammo more deadly? rolleyes

OK, I'm stupid. So WTF is so 'inspirational' about that? A guy using his mostly useless prosthesis to hit a target. I don't get it.:confused

I'm thinking he did it for a laugh, at first glance it seems like a soldier improvising at the highest level to do his job. On closer inspection as Fred said it looks more like a rifle range.

@Fred.... dude, he doesn't have a bi-pod?.... sure about that? look again ;)

I think the message is that its not that he is a soldier but more the fact that we can in many areas of our lives "'improvise, adapt and overcome" many issues and using a prosthetic limb for a sniper rifle stand will not be to everyone's thought of in good taste, got to think that he is a soldier and that's what he does and if he can continue to serve and do the job he likely loves, then that is some great improvisation.

I would imagine that in our lives we all have changes things to suit a condition or environment and that without you knowing it is "improvising, adapting and overcoming" an issue, doesn't have to be a large problem could be a small niggly one.

WTF, someone 'shopped on a bipod to his gun after I posted the picture! :-D Did not see that before.

Nobody shopped your pic Fred, it's obvious that the biped is no where near tall enough to let him sit and shoot comfortably. I can understand that as I'm a firm believer in being comfortable when you are shooting.

    Yes, have not we all.

We need to support our troops.

I think it's a good pic, Fred. It shows that despite is disability he isn't willing to give up. I find that to be inspirational.

I agree with ya BOOMM, we may not support the war we MUST support the troops. They are willing to sacrifice, in some cases give the ultimate sacrifice, so we can have the freedom to do just about anything... even gripe about the war ;)

No way! Someone 'shopped my picture! I got haxed! Otherwise, I would have to admit I did not see the bipod. No way, I ain't buying that! :-D
