I am trying to get a computer to run , it is saying limited to no connection. it is a xp sp3. I have 2 other comps connected one is vista 64 and the other is a windows 7.

this is what I get from ipconfig/all and a ping to yahoo.com on the comp that wont connect

on one of the working comp I get

I have tried reinstalling the lan card, the winsock fix, reseting the modem/router , connecting without the router, running in safemode. nothing is working.

Hi autobahn1212 and welcome to MGs.

Your ipconfig shows that the comp is not reaching the router.
Did this just happen recently after an update or new software being added?
A System Restore before the loss of connection could possibly get you back running.
Can you try a different ethernet cable?
When you say Safe Mode, was that Safe Mode with Networking?
Are you running any firewalls, either Windows or third party? If so, try disabling them and testing the connection.
You can also try resetting the TCP/IP stack - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

You can also try setting a static IP with the following IPv4 values -
    IP address - 10.0.0.10
    Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway - 10.0.0.1
    DNS Server - 10.0.0.1

See what happens with these suggestions.

trying to hook up the computer at a new house, it worked here 4 months ago. it is my wifes computer , she said it was hooked to a rocketfish gaming router or something ( not to sure). no other programs that I know of.

Don't think system restore is on on that computer.

tried different cords and different port on the router.

    safe mode with networking.

windows firewall is off, ( it says firewalled on the network conntection page)

resetting the TCP/IP stack didnt work

how do I set a static ip from that computer ?
