Please take your ungrateful attitude somewhere else. I don't have to read anything again, since I read it correctly the first time. I don't think what you want is possible, so I offered the closest solution I could find.

What's the second local area connection visible? Disable it from CP. Think that's why you get the balloon when you connect to the other. I'm lousy at networking anyway. TBH not seen this. This machine on an intranet as well?

Give more info on your network. Else mcsmc's link should have worked. Or post in the Networking forum, for the gurus there.
I agree with mcsmc, while you my be exasperated in fixing this issue, it happen to all a "please read my pot again," comes across as a tad rude.

    Cheers..

    Thanks for your reply mcsmc.
That wont help because it will disable ALL balloon messages, i dont want to disable all balloon messages, I want to kill local area connection notification bubble only. Nothing else, just local area connection notification bubble. As i clearly stated in my first post.
I hope this reply meets with your approval.
    thanks.

It is an all or none. You have to take it up with Microsoft's Software Engineers.

You are probably rite, and if there were a simple solution i wouldnt have needed to post a question.

The bubble sits there until i click on it, if there was a way to make any and all bubbles go away after 15 seconds i could live with that.

I'm guessing it's the crossover cable connection that's behind this. I use a router and just get a self-cancelling notification when the connection is first made.

You can always just uncheck the box to show it in the taskbar, for that connection.

@ brownizs - already suggested in #2, and this was the response from the OP. Surprising anyone bothers to respond to him at all rolleyes

Geez. I wouldn't help this Quark person if I got paid for it .
Good luck with that attitude . Nobody is OBLIGATED to help you, nor does anyone here OWE you anything. This site is full of professional computer techs. I suspect you destroyed your chance for getting help with your arrogance .
    Good luck to you .
