Just spent the week with the family on the beach in Georgia. We have 10 1/2 hours to go for the drive home. We broke it up in 3 parts going down so this'll be a bit longer. :(

Oh, and I finally went shooting. Well, skeet shooting anyway... With a twenty-two rifle. Was really fun and I turned to be the best at it of our group of 9. I was 5 for 5 on the first go at it. :)

My girls want to go shooting again. :-D

Sounds like an awesome week with the family. :)
    Skeet with a .22 and 5 for 5. :eek
Fred_G, is giving up his weapons and shooting range membership. :-D

    Cheers..

No offense intended to Fred. :) I some times end up posting and using the big grin smiley without caution. Thought I should post this in retrospect. :-o

    Cheers..

I think Fred's got a thicker skin than that, the boy can take some(in my view) light or even heavy ribbing.;):-D

LOL I'm sure Fred laughs at the idea of skeet shooting...or at least these. They were pellets or something and fired to the size about an American football. None of us had ever done it though and I did the best by far. :)

Yep, the week was good with the family.

We still have another 3 hours to go. We are going through Washington DC right now. I just got off 5 hour driving duty.

How can a .22 shoot bird shot? Thats what the guy said it was though.

Thanks Tim. We are driving through more traffic right now before going through the Harbor Tunnel.

Ratshot with a 22! And those must have been some big skeets that were being used to be the size of a football. I've only been able to find the smaller ones. Glad that you had a good time! :)

Skeet shooting? Never done that, looks like fun. Never heard of doing it with a .22. Glad you had a good time shooting. :cool

Sikvik, can't afford the $ for the local gun club. Was supposed to go Saturday for an open day for the public, but it got canceled. :cry

"Fred_G, is giving up his weapons" Someone has been hitting the sauce a bit early. :-D

Which state allows skeet shooting while driving? :confused

(or am I the only one reading this as slightly funny?):wave

Yes, they make shells for .22 that are not a solid slug, but filled with tiny beads......bird shot.

Ah, the Harbor Tunnel. Now that takes me back. I grew up in Maryland. Commuted many time through that tunnel. ;)

What? It is drive by skeet. We already have the drive thru window...:-D

Nah. The clay skeets were about the size of a small plate for a coffee cup. I was just saying the shot wound up being about the size of a football since it was pellets. I didn't know you didn't shoot bullets for it. Probably stupid to think that, but I had never been.

It was fun though. I was planning on going when I went to see my sister in Dallas, but ended up doing some other stuff that came up. Actually, Fred was nice enough to offer to take my Sis and I shooting. :-D

*shrug* guy said it was a 22 rifle. None of us would have known any different. :-D

You mean they all don't, BOOM? :-D

That was one of the fun things on our trip. Now we're having to go home. I hate when that happens. LOL

(btw, I'm on my phone. I'm not too good at typing on this thing. Takes me forever)

And about an hour (or so it seems) later we are still trying to get through it. Gotta love DC traffic.

Yep. That's exactly what they looked like, Tim.

As good as that sounds, we just want to get home! LOL

I took a decent pic of the Washington monument with
my phone though. I'd post it if I could.

I would never pass up a chance for steamed crabs unless I was being held captive!! At least stop and get a dozen and air freight them to me!!!!! :cry
