Im running windows vista 64 bit
    internet explorer 9
and tried to update to flash 10. I download and install but when I try to go to any sites that require it, the site tells me I need to update to the newest verson.

I have tried uninstall and reinstall several times, and just dont know what else to do.

    any help would be wonderful

    thanks in advanced!!

    Hi Mary,

    try this...

    1. download the adobe uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
*make sure to follow the directions on the page. (close IE, IM programs etc...)
    2.reboot the computer.
    3. open Internet Explorer 9, go to tools on the menu at the top then Internet Options. Click the Advanced tab and then click the Reset button at the bottom. *Please note, this will reset IE back to its default configuration so anything that was customized will have to be setup again. I believe it also removes cookie files and your browsing history but I don't believe it removes any favorites (you may want to copy your favorites folder just in case).
    4. next, install the latest flash version from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
    5. reboot the computer.
    6. browse to the sites to see if all is well.

kiminbend, you need to start your own thread with your problem. What you've done is called hijacking. Some forums operate this way; MajorGeeks does not.
Every person has her/his own thread for a problem.
