HP DV6 laptop fingerprint reader bypass

Inherited an HP DV6 laptop that has a fingerprint reader and Windows 7. Since the previous owner has passed away, I cannot bypass the reader to get into it. Antone have any idea how to do this? I've searched all the forums and couldn't find any info. Not even sure if I'm in the right forum for info. Please help!:confused

 

I am not sure if this will work but when the machine starts to boot, start tapping the F10 key. Can you get into the BIOS setup. If so, you should be able to disable the fingerprint scanner.

Edit:
If you cannot get into BIOS, does a password box come up if you press CTRL+ALT+DEL at the login screen?

 

In my Toshiba laptop I have the option of adding more than one fingerprint.
If you can't delete the existing fingerprint, can you add your own?

Actually, a password box did come up when I played with it a little. I managed to guess the password on the 3rd try! Too funny! Anyway it's all better now! Thanks for the quick response for help!!!
