You possibly could but you'd have to wipe your recovery partition as Windows doesn't like to downgrade, besides there might be a driver issue too, I'm not sure.

You are the first person I've ever seen who wants to go from W7 to Vista.:confused If you have at least a dual core, 2 gigs of RAM and BIOS will allow virtualization, you can install Virtual PC from MS and install Vista there. From my experience, just say no.;)

Not any more. Vista has been vastly improved since it's release. As it is a new laptop, it is highly unlikely there will be XP drivers for the hardware.

Do you have the proper SATA drivers for Windows XP? Windows XP has very limited native support for SATA hardware so you must go the 'insert floppy disk with drivers and press F6 at the prompt' route or slipstream them into an installation disc.

Vista & 7 are pretty much the same. In what way are you saying that you do not like Windows 7.

So are Hyundai and BMW cars. The look is similar... that's the ONLY major similarity between Vista and 7. Vista is Hyundai, in this example, of course.:-D

I would not go to say that Vista is like a Hyundai. XP is more like a Hyundai. Vista is like driving a Soccer mom Mercedes SUV, and 7 is like upgrading to a 2 door Mercedes Sedan.
