My father-in-law's email account is spamming viagra advertisements to everyone on his contact list. I'm thinking I should be worried... :-D

I emailed mom-in-law, and suggested that they run some malware scans on his laptop and let me know if they find anything.

Aww.... I was waiting for TimW to come in and make that joke! :p

Though I will admit to using the phrase "heads-up" in my email to my mother-in-law. LOL

Mimsy, are you using Outlook or Live Mail or webmail of some sort? Typically the best bet is to add the word Viagra to a filter and move anything Viagra to spam. Frankly, Viagra is a word that should cause most mail programs to consider it spam.

I took Viagra once and it got stuck in my throat. Next morning I woke up with a stiff neck.

I currently have three web-based email accounts, but the only ones he has in his contact list are my gmail and my work email (yeah, they got there), and while I do have them set to filter out anything Viagra I also have my family white-listed so anything from them gets through.

Yes, I have now changed that. Especially for the work email.

None that he needs Viagra for :p
