    Helo
I thought Er and functioningunt was defective so I removed it with add/remove then rebooted. It was not in add/remove.
However, upon checking the windows folder where it resides it was still there and I ran it successfully.
When I peeked into add/remove it was there also.
Was this a glitch or what?
    Thank you

Yes, will keep downloads in the MG family. Re: ERUNT etc, how would I have found Erunt in your family to download it?
    Thank you

On the www.majorgeeks.com page there is a search option on the left side of the page. Make sure the MajorGeeks button is black, type in Erunt, and click on Search, where the magnifying glass is, above it.

    Hello
This morning I Googled Major Geeks > ERUNT and your down load site appeared. From there I ran a successful installation of Erunt and NTREGOPT.
But now I have an easier way, using your directions; thank you for the advice.

You're welcome. Make sure you delete the daily Registry backups occasionally otherwise they will accumulate. I usually keep the last 2 only. They are stored in C:\windows\ERDNT\AutoBackup on my PC. Bazza

Every Friday I do my maintenance list and removal of all but the last two or three will be on it.
    Thank you

I keep ERUNT on two computers. After trying to fix the 0x7d4caa9b problem for hours (like many people who report on the Net) I remembered ERUNT -I use it every morning (takes seconds). Got back to an earlier time (Restore did not work) - it fixed the problem in
    a flash.
    Great program!

It is not necessary to manually delete those 'extra' backup folders.

HOW TO MANAGE ERUNT AUTOMATIC BACKUPS:

If you add a couple of command line parameters to the shortcut in the Startup folder,
the AUTOBACK.EXE tool will delete the oldest backup each day, retaining only the number
    of backups that you specify.

    Here is an example:
    "C:\Program Files\ERUNT\AUTOBACK.EXE" %SystemRoot%\ERDNT\AutoBackup\#date#__#time# /noconfirmdelete /days:21

    The key entries here are:
    /noconfirmdelete

    and

    /days:##

where ## is the number of (backup) days that you want to keep.

To Create a backup at Every Boot, add the /alwayscreate switch, after /noconfirmdelete.

I have had several similar experiences, which is why I keep recommending it.

On my system, Windows XP SP3, each backup takes only about 42MB of disk space, which is minimal, particularly when considering
the usefulness and security it provides.
As you can see in my example above, I keep 21 days of autobackups.
I have found that ERUNT is faster, easier to use and more reliable than System Restore.

Remember, you can make Manual Backups at any time, such as before installing a new program or making any system changes
    or modifications.

If I install a new program, immediately check it out and then decide to remove it, AFTER a proper uninstall, I restore the ERUNT backup
which was made just before the program install.
