Italian MG member vanished

    Did anyone else spot a new MG member from Italy, about 9 hours ago?
    I didn't note the name. :-o
    I welcomed the OP, to MG, and replied to the post.
    The OP seemed to have good PC skills. The post was innocuous, IMO.

    Now both posts have been deleted. Was it spam, malware or what?

    I believe I noticed that one, did he post a google.com link in his post, it was google.com? I'd guess he/she/it broke the rules.;)

    Yes augiedoggie, that was the one. ;)
    I took it that the link to Google.com was where the OP found a link to MG and joined up. Guess I was wrong. :(
    Hope the Moderator pointed that out to the OP, as I think the OP might have been our first Italian member. :cool

    It was most likely a spammer if they are gone. A lot of them post innocuous posts, but then when checked out are actually spammers. We can generally tell by a number of things if we should do some digging.

    Very likely a spammer as many do post the Home Page as Google.com but add junk into a signature line.

    I'm guessing but I'm sure we do have a few Italians on the site already I do remember one from Rome or Naples.
