Cant do updates on my computer...

I would think the simplest thing to do would be to uninstall Reader and if you want Reader 9 back, use plodr's link or just get Reader X from here - http://get.adobe.com/reader/

 

I have has trouble like this before and what solved it for me was deleting all temp files on my pc... Type %temp% into the search bar and delete all files in that folder. Then I went to C drive - windows folder - and temp folder and deleted the files in that folder as well. Then I restarted and was able to run updates.

I'm not very experienced with computers so I'm not sure if it will work for you but it's worth a shot.

I hate open ended threads but hadn't got a chance to do this till now.

So here goes, post #3 lead me to to this,

"The solution to the problem is easy... Use Security Restore Tool

It resets all the security settings that maybe "out of order". For me it worked great."

For me it seems to have solved the problem also!!!
