Am I the only nutter here who still drinks milk, (Cold Coffee) every morning. :-D
Always loved milk. Was mandatory as a kid to have a glass in the morning and evening. My sis hated it- so I'd drink here portion as well. :-o

I was told to get full fat milk to make ricotta and did that milk taste sweet and beautiful!:yum It's too bad that I'm lactose intolerant but I can drink a small cup. I used to be mad about coffee when I worked, some ten 6oz. styro cups a day but I've since quit. Now it's just straight green tea.

 

Agree augie, all this double toned and skimmed milk is Yuck! Give me full cream milk and I'll drink it straight. Home made yoghurt, ricotta or paneer is much better with full cream.

Ya, what is it with that crap. Damn things are calorific, sprinkles on coffee? Yuck! I believe many of their concoctions are above 400 calories, add breakfast with that and you'll be overweight in no time.

As to milk, blame sikvik for that.

I haven't had coffee in a few months, it's about that time though. It was down to40's Faren this morn. I only drink it in the fall and winter. I stick to the mtn. dew in the summer, and pretty much any other time. :-D

 

I use to love drinking Country Style coffee until the local franchise stopped using it. I learned to enjoy Tim Hortons Coffee. When I went to spend a couple weeks with Mag00, he introduced me to Starbucks. I'm happy that Lakehead University has both on their campus so I can do Timmy's in the morning and Starbucks in the afternoon. I really do like my coffee ..

 

I gave up coffee years ago because of the high caffeine content.

Now, it's strictly Green Tea for me. Even regular green tea, not decaf, has between 30 to 50 milligrams of caffeine compared to about 100 milligrams for drip coffee.

I'm also lactose intolerant, but that doesn't have to be a problem.
I can eat cheese without any problem.
There are Lactase supplements that you can get at most drug stores which makes it possible to eat anything with milk content.
Some pharmacies, like Walmart, have a generic version which is less expensive and the tablets are individually wrapped,
so I always keep one with me.

 

I would preferred Wendy's imported Tim Horton's into all 50 US States not only Maine and Ohio....:cry

I agree with Halo or The Grand PooButt ( :-D ) that McD`s has a good cup.I cannot drink the so called coffee from any of the myriad of coffee shacks that surround my little town.I make 8 cups of my own every morning using Folgers or whatever was on sale.The next month it will be S&W special roast.It was $5.99 for a 34.5oz or 978gram can.Besides the cans are handy for storage of many things.So how has everyone been?

Hi Laura,my garden was about like last years,except I put a new flower bed on the front side of my house,facing south.I planted 3 packs of different strains of Nasteriums and 2 packs of sweet peas.I ended up with only 2 sweet peas and about 10 nasties which my neighborhood deer promptly ate.The peas never came back but I still have blooms on the nasties.How have you been and what have you been up too?
