How do I verify that new Video Card is fully functional ?

I bought three ATI FirePro 2460 Video cards each with 4 mini DP ports supporting 4 Monitors.

Right now I have only two monitors & others will take little time to arrive.

Meanwhile I have to check these video cards to see if they are fully functional & there is no damage or other problems with them & let the seller on ebay know about them.

Can I just plug 2 monitors in 2 ports & then switch to other 2 ports to check if they are working ?

So question is if checking each card with 2 monitors at a time instead of all 4 monitors in 4 ports would prove that the video card is fully functional ?

I wonder if the graphics card software, monitor screen and your O/S supports having two screens displaying on the one monitor :cool.. if they do i guess you can figure the rest out from there

Great idea but I am not sure what I have will do the trick.

I have Windows -7 Ultimate & Dell 24 inch HD ( 1920x1080 ) Monitor.

 

Connect a monitor to first video card & test. Shut down insert next card, hook up monitor & test. And so on. This is not rocket science.

I was kind of wondering if without full load, all 4 monitors it would result in a real test.

 

What do you mean by full load? A video card is a output device. If no monitor, it will not send a signal. If they are brand new in the box, the manufacturer has already tested them, and they are covered under the warranty. Opening them, defeats the warranty when selling them, due to the buyer is no longer original purchaser, and may not be covered under the original owner warranty.
