Ok so, I lost my mouse, and I have spent the last hour looking for the damn thing, for some reason I can't find it... SO I was curious to know if there was a way to track/sonar the mouses location. The USB receiver is still connected to the laptop. If anyone knows of a way to do this please inform me, thanks :)

Sorry you lost your mouse but there is no way I can think of to "track" it. I've "lost" my mouse twice (from my desktop) and both times it wound up being found right behind my desk - actually between the wall and the desk.

    Good Luck

Presumably, the mouse is not transmitting a signal unless it is in use in order to conserve battery power, so I don't think there would be anything to "track". I could be wrong, but my intuition says this is likely how it would work.

Haha cheese :-D if only it were that easy!

And yeah I just wasn't sure. I figured if there was any kind of wireless signal, such as the one that's transmitted from the mouse to the receiver to create movement, that maybe there was a way to reverse it and use it to display a distance or something to that effect. I found it though, took another 2 hours. It was between the underneath of the bed & the bed railings, couped up in the sheets. Not sure how it got there.... :confused

    Thanks all :)

Get a dog and put a little bacon grease on the mouse...you'll never lose it then!! LOL.

Definitely wont lose it, but I'll only be able to use it every other day & I'll have to clean it a lot >.<
