   When I try to type the AT symbol for emails I am getting " instead :cry
   
   I would really appreciate any help with this.

   And vice versa, yes. I had this problem too not so long back. You need to go into the control panel and look at the keyboard settings/properties. It is bound to be in there somewhere. I believe you need to set it back to UK settings and not USA. (I am not on XP currently so cannot give you exact instructions)
