    1. Fresh-off a new install of Comodo-Dragon Browser, I was hoping to Import data from my Google-Chrome Browser, but C-D BALKED...said I needed to 'close Chrome', which I was not aware was open.

Open Task MGR, and I see Chrome, AND C-D displayed differently than I've ever seen any browser displayed there:

    "Chrome - *32" (screen-shot #1 below).

Not sure how to proceed (?)...have never been comfortable to kill a task (due to the *Warning Message* which always precedes that.

    2. Had a trial of MS Office 2010 which has/is expired, and I would LOVE to uninstall it. However, I am seeing three instances, and I believe I can keep/utilize the "Starter" version, but not sure about the third Icon labeled; "Click-to-Run". Should that go out with the main/Trial, or does it pertain to the Starter in any way, please?

Lastly, I have a strange feeling it might be better to use 7>CP>Add/Remove (Programs-Features), as opposed to Revo . . . can anyone say, one way or the other, please?

Always appreciative of suggestions . . . thanks in advance ~

Chrome *32 in your processes list is simply referring to chrome running in 32bit mode. It should be perfectly safe to terminate this process with no ill effects. Occasionally (especially browsers IME) will stay in the process list even after you close it. Removing Office via Windows Add/Remove programs will work fine. I prefer to use Ccleaner to do my uninstalling, as I can then remove the trash files and registry entries that are left behind, but there's nothing wrong with using the Windows add/remove programs in control center.

EDIT: Sorry, for some reason I was under the impression you were using XP. Revo should work fine for getting rid of your office apps you no longer want, but again, removing them via control panel shouldn't be any problem either .

grc123, do you have this box checked? It will create zombies

    Preferences> Under The Hood

Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed

(it is at the bottom of the page)

Thanks for the reply, and very good question...I don't know (I "think" so, yes, but will check right NOW!).

OH! Do you mean in both browsers?? (Chrome AND C-D), please?

"YES" - it "IS" checked...in BOTH browsers.

Should I un-check one, or both, please?

Uncheck to kill the zombies unless you use OFFLINE Gmail or other Gears applets.

Wrench and "View Background pages" to see what is running

They are BOTH UN-checked now thanks to YOU!

I suppose they're "On" by default (?) ... Google and Comodo "should" KNOW better (and *MORE*) than that! Shouldn't they?? I guess they think that "THEY" are "EXCLUSIVE" with their end-users ... and perhaps that's the case, overall...for the vast majority.

Everyone (with MS/Windows) has IE, and "may" gravitate to another browser over time, but then you have the KNUCKLEHEADS such as Moi, who has (I think) 5, 6, 7 browsers "downloaded", if not installed...

Maybe I should lose all but two or three (?) - which brings me to another question: I would LIKE to keep/utilize Comodo(C-Dragon), but must I have G-Chrome installed, or may I ""lose it" 100%, please?

. . . ah-ha! And yet another question (no intent to bump) :

Do other browsers have a similar button/or setting?

On this new laptop, I think I have (now, currently anyway) about four (4) browsers installed - total.

I don't use IE (9)...*correction*, I very rarely use IE, but have been told "NOT" to remove it, and I intuitively understand that. and

As mentioned I have Chrome, Comodo-Dragon, and Firefox (7) on this machine (and all of those, except for C-D, in addition to Pale Moon and Opera).
